About the Site

Hi, I'm Dr. Andrew Burt. I'm CEO of TechSoft, a custom software design company, and I was a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Denver. I wrote the loan comparison tool when I realized how difficult it was to compare loans accurately. All the loan comparison tools I found on the net were poor — they didn't take into account a lot of really important factors that could change the outcome, and cost people needless money.

We were looking for a loan, so I wrote this tool to get the best answers for myself. Then I decided others could benefit from it too, so I put it up on the web.

If you find the site useful, like it helped you make a loan decision, a donation would be appreciated. (Donations go through my free writers workshop, "Critters.org", so don't be surprised by the change of web page theme.) To help support the site I also placed Google ads on the site, but I have no control over the content of the ads. The loan comparison software is written in the PERL language running on a Linux server.
