• NO on the Mill Levy: Foothills must solve its financial problems without burdening taxpayers for its poor financial planning
• Better Maintenance: Foothills needs to provide professional maintenance of facilities
• No closures and no threats: Foothills does not need to close facilities -- and should not threaten unnecessary closures to pass an unnecessary tax increase
• Run Foothills as a business: Non-profit does not mean it shouldn't be run like a business
• Get Creative: Foothills needs to think of creative ways to raise revenues using their existing first-class facilities
• Advertise services not tax hikes: Foothills should advertise their services rather than spend vast sums on glossy pitches to increase taxes

The Basic Numbers

1. Highest taxes in CO: If the mill levy is approved, Foothills residents will pay the HIGHEST TAXES of any recreation district in the state of Colorado. Foothills' three subdistricts will all be in the top 10. Foothills already has plenty of income but needs to manage it better.

2. Taxes without services: Certain areas, such as Sixth Avenue West, will pay 80% of their taxes, some $500,000/year, to fund non-local services, and only receive back 20¢ on the dollar in their area. Tax increases are not the fair solution for Foothills residents.
